About the Author

Chris Shiflett

Hi, I'm Chris, a web developer and a founding member of Analog. I live and work in Brooklyn, NY.

CSS Naked Day

Where did my design go? For the fourth consecutive year (2007, 2008, 2009), I'm participating in CSS Naked Day.

The CSS Naked Day site has not been updated, but this year's CSS Naked Day is Fri, 09 Apr 2010. I'm a bit late, but the "day" officially lasts two days to account for time zone differences.

As I mentioned last year:

You have to look beyond the surface to truly appreciate good design, so participating in CSS Naked Day does more to show off my design than to hide it.

This is a chance to discuss improvements that need to be made to this site or any other. If you spot anything I could improve to better adhere to web standards or accessibility guidelines, please do let me know.

Join me, and show your support for web standards!

I have never heard of CSS Naked Day before, but I think it is awesome!

Your markup is very well thought out -- kudos.

The only thing I don't understand is "Footer" at the bottom of this page. Seems as though better wording could be used in its stead.

Is there some accessibility guideline I'm missing Chris? :)

ps. your comments form resets on any small error

Style Guide

Line breaks are converted to paragraphs. Also use:

  • <a href="" title="">text</a>1
  • <em>text</em>
  • <blockquote><p>text</p></blockquote>
  • <code>2  <?php  if ($foo) {      $foo = TRUE;  }  ?></code>
  1. Note: <code> can be used inline (e.g. in paragraphs) or in a block as shown. Include whitespace and newlines in blocks.

Please enter Chris (my first name) below. This is a primitive spam prevention technique, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
