CSS Naked Day

If you're wondering what happened to the design, it's gone! I'm participating in CSS Naked Day again to celebrate web standards and good design. True beauty is more than skin deep, and I'm proud of my blog's design. (Thanks again, Jon and Jon!) As a reminder, here's what this day is all about:

The idea behind this event is to promote web standards. Plain and simple. This includes proper use of (X)HTML, semantic markup, a good hierarchy structure, and of course, a good ol' play on words. It's time to show off your <body>.

I've been keeping up with how my site is doing on CommandShift3, but since that focuses solely on visual appeal, I'm getting naked, so you can take a closer look.

Happy CSS Naked Day!

Glad to see people participating in it. I have the CSS Naked Day plugin for Wordpress, purely for convience. Web standards should be followed by any developer or designer.

You may want to think about leaving only this post without the css, for other people who missed the day yesterday, to be able to enjoy the site

That's an interesting idea, Sebastian. I might just do that.

I missed it! But just to get the effect I turned off the CSS and like any decent web site should be, it was a breeze to navigate even without the design (and it is a great design).

Style Guide

Line breaks are converted to paragraphs. Also use:

  • <a href="" title="">text</a>1
  • <em>text</em>
  • <blockquote><p>text</p></blockquote>
  • <code>2  <?php  if ($foo) {      $foo = TRUE;  }  ?></code>
  1. Note: <code> can be used inline (e.g. in paragraphs) or in a block as shown. Include whitespace and newlines in blocks.
