Upcoming Conferences

The O'Reilly Open Source Convention returns to Portland in two weeks (26 Jul to 30 Jul). There are plenty of PHP Sessions and PHP Tutorials, so it should be a great conference for the PHP crowd.

php|works is a new conference hosted by the folks at php|architect, and it is being held in Toronto, Canada from 22 Sep to 24 Sep. In addition to the session schedule, there is some handy information on convincing the boss.

The International PHP Conference is to be held in Frankfurt, Germany from 07 Nov to 10 Nov. The Call for Papers ends 16 Jul (less than a week from now).

This year's ApacheCon is to be held in Las Vegas (Alexis Park Resort) from 14 Nov to 17 Nov. The Call for Participation ends 23 Jul (less than two weeks from now).

Hopefully I'll have PHP Security written in time for some of these. :-)

Style Guide

Line breaks are converted to paragraphs. Also use:

  • <a href="" title="">text</a>1
  • <em>text</em>
  • <blockquote><p>text</p></blockquote>
  • <code>2  <?php  if ($foo) {      $foo = TRUE;  }  ?></code>
  1. Note: <code> can be used inline (e.g. in paragraphs) or in a block as shown. Include whitespace and newlines in blocks.
